why grass yards? some say it’s the largest crop in the USA over powering corn crops by 3 times as much area including golf courses… what a waste right?

all those plastic sprinkler systems buried in the ground… wasted water running all the time and people hardly use there lawns for anything but for show, all that wasted fertilizer, not to mention that millions if not billions of lawn mowers and weed whackers had to be produced not to cultivate any part of the plant, but rater just trim it… then we through the clippings in the trash… seriously?

why not something like indigenous plants or rocks or even fake grass made from recycled material… if its just for looks whats the problem right? or better yet plant a garden with some fruit trees… that would add some real green to our yard and all that watering will pay you back in the form of fresh fruits and veggies… whatever you cant or dont eat im sure the neighbors and other local wildlife will take it off your hands no problem :)
